Logged-in listeners\u2019 plays are tracked in real time, while logged-out activity may take up to 24 hours to appear. SoundCloud does not count an artist\u2019s self-plays on their own tracks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A Shazam recognition requires neither a 30-second Spotify stream nor a SoundCloud play-button click. Apple also processes data for the Shazam app and Apple Music for Artists through different systems and schedules. As a result, Shazam Count and chart data may not always appear identical at the same moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why different versions of a track can complicate the count<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Shazam matches audio rather than relying only on a title or artist name. This can create attribution issues when multiple versions contain identical audio passages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Apple gives the example of an original song and a remix that share part of the same recording.
